Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our healthcare team. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, aged care facilities, and the community. Under the supervision of Registered Nurses or Midwives, you will also extend your expertise to support parents in caring for newborn infants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients based on accepted nursing practice and standards.
  • Administer medications, provide interventions, treatments, and therapies, and monitor patient responses to ensure optimal care.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses and other team members to coordinate and evaluate the care provided to patients.
  • Promote and assist in health education activities to prevent ill health within the community.
  • Attend to the essential needs of newborn infants, including bathing, feeding, changing, and settling.
  • Offer advice and training on infant care to parents, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Provide emotional support to parents of newborn infants, fostering a supportive and caring environment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient well-being.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in nursing practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Skill & Experience

  • Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled Nurse) qualification.
  • Current registration with the appropriate nursing board.
  • Strong understanding of nursing principles, practices, and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
